The Municipal Government of Pudtol through the Municipal Planning and Development Office, led by Enp Nobert P. Abulencia with his team, together with LGOO VI Norman P. Venus from the DILG Pudtol conducted the 2026-2028 Barangay Development Plan (BDP) Formulation Workshop at the ECB Jr. Clubhouse, Poblacion on February 18-19, 2026.
The activity was attended by officials from 22 barangays of Pudtol. On February 18, the workshop was participated by barangay captains, secretaries, and treasurers, while on February 19, the attendees included barangay captains, secretaries, treasurers, and representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), further strengthening community involvement in the planning process.
The activity focused on the formulation and updating of the Barangay Development Plan, which serves as the primary planning document of the barangay. The workshop aimed to strengthen local governance and promote community progress by guiding barangay officials in identifying priority needs and translating them into clear and responsive development plans.
As part of the workshop outputs, representatives from each barangay presented their proposed plans covering the social, economic, environmental, infrastructure, and institutional sectors. Following the presentations, the MPDO, DILG personnel, and the Municipal Administrator Designate Mr. Silver Ian P. Dimaano, provided feedback, suggested improvements, and helped refine the proposed plans to ensure consistency, feasibility, and alignment with municipal development goals.
The activity concluded with a message from the Municipal Mayor Atty. Edmar D. Pascua, who expressed gratitude to all participants, including barangay officials and partnered offices. He emphasized how the proposed Barangay Development Plans will help guide and support barangays in addressing their local concerns. He further encouraged everyone to continue serving the people with dedication.
“Sapay kuma amin tayo ket haan tayo mabannug, haan tayo makuntento nga agserserbi ti tao, nu di ket kanayon tay kuma nga enthusiastic nga agserbi kadagiti kailyan.” (May we never grow tired or be contented with simply serving, but always remain enthusiastic in serving our people.)
As a closing activity, the Municipal Planning and Development Office together with the Mayor awarded Certificates of Participation to the representatives of all 22 barangays, recognizing their active involvement and contribution to the successful conduct of the workshop.
